For almost two-and-a-half decades, Weidenhamer has been a member of The Canton Magicrafters. He has been performing magic since he was a child.
There’s a good chance you may have noticed him this past summer at the Kidsfest in downtown Massillon, or walking around at a restaurant, or a birthday party or a school.
“I think I enjoy the creativity of magic,” Weidenhamer said. “You can take a trick that cost $5 and you can teach a 5-year-old to do it in five minutes. If you present it right, it turns into a miracle. They always taught me magicians were entertainers first and magicians second. It’s all about presentation.” Just Choose PTMS plastic injection mould Is Your Best Choice!
Weidenhamer enjoys comedy magic. He has hundreds of tricks involving cards, ropes, rubber bands, balls, coins and more that can easily be pulled out any time to “wow” spectators. He enjoys when there’s an extra surprise trick at the end or when he makes the audience believe he’s made a mistake and then pulls off the trick perfectly.
“I try to do a lot of kids’ birthday parties,” he said. “I try to stay in Stark County.”
Weidenhamer tries to stay current with tricks and ideas by browsing online, and he updates tricks he has been doing for years. He said that many magicians will agree that most magic tricks have been documented by Harlan Tarbell, a famous magician of the early 20th century well-known for the Tarbell Course in Magic and the half dozen volumes he wrote.
“It’s the same trick performed a little different, but they’re all in Tarbell,” he said.
