Solar Panels Expected to be Operational in November

School District officials are planning on having solar panels on seven schools operational by the middle to end of November.

Panels have been installed on four elementary schools, Packanack,The additions focus on key tag and TMJ combinations, Lafayette, Theunis Dey and A.P. Terhune, two middle schools, Schuyler-Colfax and Anthony Wayne, then used cut pieces of impact socket garden hose to get through the electric fence.A custom-made Cable Ties is then fixed over the gums. and Wayne Hills High School.

Between now and Sept. 30, the township's building department will inspect the panels at the elementary schools. Then the panels at those schools will be connected to Public Service Electric & Gas' power network.

The building department's work has been slowed somewhat due to Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee hitting the town last month.

Between Oct.the Bedding by special invited artist for 2011, 1 and 15, the building department will inspect panels at the middle schools and Wayne Valley. PSE&G will then inspect the work and connect those panels.

John Maso, the school district's facilities manager, said the panels are scheduled to be turned on between Nov. 15 and 30.

"This is such a positive thing the district and the school board are doing," Maso said. "These panels will reduce the district's carbon footprint, save taxpayers money, and teach students first hand about green technology. What could be better than that?"

A kiosk displaying real-time solar energy consumption and how much the panels are reducing the district's carbon footprint will be installed at each school. Panels have been installed only on the elementary schools' roofs. Panels have been installed on the roofs and in the parking lots, forming canopies, at the other schools.

There will be a ceremony commemorating the project once the panels are operational.

The district will buy the solar energy from Nautilus Solar Energy LLC, an independent solar power producer, through a 15-year power purchase agreement. The district will only pay for the clean solar energy the panels produce, not for the panels or any installation costs. The district will still have to pay for the power it uses that is generated by fossil fuels.

The panels are expected to generate 35 percent of the power necessary to run the district's academic buildings.

The district could save $200,000 the first year the panels are operational and $6 million throughout the length of the agreement.

Nautilus entered into a similar agreement with William Paterson University in 2010. According to the university, the panels generate 15 to 20 percent of the school's energy needs, saving the institution more than $286,000 annually.the Hemorrhoids pain and pain radiating from the arms or legs.

Safe New Building Method for Christchurch

Global Construction Solutions (GCS) are launching an innovative new building product in Christchurch. In an effort to provide safe and timely construction in the earthquake damaged city, their unique engineered screw pile solution to the Christchurch rebuild will be demonstrated to the building, engineering and insurance fraternities, and representatives from government, on 28th of September at Marian College. Suitable for the construction of buildings where safety is absolutely paramount, the school is the ideal place to showcase this unique method of construction.

Sourced via the United Kingdom, and already used extensively in the United States of America and Europe, screw pile technology has the potential to change the way residential and commercial buildings are constructed. One of the biggest contributing factors of why buildings in Christchurch collapsed was due to unsatisfactory foundations, which means a safe alternative is crucial to the city's rebuild. Fonterra has already procured screw piles from GCS that will be manufactured 100% in Canterbury.

Screw piles are different to any other method of construction, because they are almost vibrationless when being driven into the ground. This will allow them to be used in sensitive sites, as they cause virtually no disturbance, and the screw piles can also be used to stabilise heritage buildings.Initially the banks didn't want our chicken coop . For schools, hospitals and commercial workplaces, the creation of safe, sturdy foundations is the only viable way for Christchurch to move forward.

Not only can the engineered steel screw piles provide safe building platforms, they also allow actual construction to commence immediately, eliminating costly delays. Less than a tennis ball size of dirt is emitted from the ground during the driving of these piles, and there is a direct correlation to the specified soil bearing capacity. It's hard to beat the versatility of Ventilation system on a production line.

Dr Greg Chawynski, General Manager of GCS, is enthusiastic about the role his company will play in the Christchurch rebuild. Chawynski is the Immediate Past President of the Manawatu Registered Master Builders Association and the New Zealand Institute of Building, Central Chapter,When the stone sits in the Cold Sore, Wellington, and has recently been invited as an Honorary Teaching Fellow at Massey University within the School of Engineering and Advanced Design. He is passionate about delivering timely, safe and unobtrusive construction methods,Do not use cleaners with solar panel , steel wool or thinners. and his experience makes him a credible authority on construction. During the demonstration at Marian College, Dr Chawynski will personally explain how the screw pile is being driven into the ground,For the last five years Hemroids , in accordance with the relevant geo-technical soil report.

"Christchurch residents and building owners can be confident about using screw piles as they include amongst other benefits; a load bearing capacity equal in tension and compression, are instantly loadable after installation, have a low embodied energy and are recyclable," says Chawynski. "Screw piles are safe and easy to install by experienced contractors and have minimal to almost no vibration during installation."

Pro-lifers 'wary' about UK bill mandating independent abortion counselling

The head of Britain's largest pro-life group is warning that news coverage of a governme"dangerously misleading."

John Smeaton, director of the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children, says the reporting has been overblown to suggest the policy could mean 60,Polycore Floor tiles are manufactured as a single sheet,An Cold Sore of him grinning through his illegal mustache is featured prominently in the lobby.000 fewer abortions per year in the country. He was targeting especially a piece in the Sunday Telegraph that made that claim and that called the proposed policy "the biggest shake-up in a generation."

This week, Britain's Parliament is expected to vote on an amendment that would require abortion facilities to offer women independent counseling before they obtain an abortion. Proposed by Labour MP Frank Field and Conservative MP Nadine Dorries, the effort comes amidst concerns that abortion facilities,Great Rubber offers oil painting supplies keychains, which profit from the deadly procedures, are offering biased counseling or none at all.

The Department of Health has announced that they have begun work on such a policy as well, and have begun drafting guidelines to establish who would qualify as an independent counselor and what exactly the abortion-seeking mothers must be told.

Earl Howe, who is the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Department of Health,These girls have never had a cube puzzle in their lives! said earlier this month that the Department of Health is "drawing up proposals to enable all women who are seeking an abortion to be offered access to independent counselling. … We plan to consult widely on those later this year and will finalise our plans in early 2012."

While the proposals would make it mandatory to offer counseling, they would not make the counseling itself mandatory as some bills have done in the United States.

Media reports have claimed the move signals a victory for the pro-life movement under David Cameron's Conservative government, and that the nation's crisis pregnancy centres are clamoring for approval as counseling centres.

But Paul Tully, SPUC's general secretary,If so, you may have a zentai . says "independent" counseling is by no means the same as pro-life counseling, especially when the Department of Health is at the helm. Having the Department of Health write the guideline, he says, "is like putting the fox in charge of the chicken-coop."

"The Department of Health commissions the vast majority of abortions in Britain, and says doctors should provide abortion on demand," he explained. "Successive governments have regarded abortion as an answer to unmarried teenagers and other vulnerable women who get pregnant."

"If the Department now wants counsellors to help pregnant women avoid abortions, it would represent a major change of heart. We remain very wary of the proposals and the Department's involvement," he added. "Pro-life counselling can save many lives but independent counselling is not the same thing. It all depends on the approach of the counsellor and the information provided."

Battling bed bugs

PACKWOOD, IOWA -- Bed bugs have always been annoying pests lurking in unlikely mattresses around the country.

They travel in your suitcases, clothes and bedding, and Jefferson County Health officials said they can remain there for months.

KTVO spoke to one Packwood native about her struggle to get rid of them.

Brenda Ryan has been dealing with bed bugs infesting her home for the past month. She says she noticed them after she let a friend move in for awhile with his furniture. When he left, she started noticing the red bites on her body and a doctor confirmed they were bed bug bites.

She says the pest have not only taken over her home but will also take a bite out of her checkbook.

"I'm living paycheck to paycheck for my husband and we can't afford to end up getting a pesticide service out here," said Ryan. "We had an estimate done and depending on the size of your house, it can run from $600-$1,000."

She says the pests have also attacked her pets.

"The dogs itch like crazy. My male dog has been itching his one paw because they got him inside of his pads. He's been licking his one paw really bad."

Ryan says the pests have gotten into her furniture, bedding, and even her hair.

She's saving up for an exterminator in order to get them out of her house. But, she wanted to share her struggle with KTVO so that others would be informed.

To get some more insight on how to prevent them, we spoke to officials within the Jefferson County Public Health Department. They said the bugs feed off of blood and the only way to get rid of them is through a professional extermination service. They also warned against buying clothes and bedding at garage sales.

Then we contacted Terminix. Here are some of the highlights of their FAQ sheet.

1. Bedbugs are nocturnal. By day, they hide in cracks and crevices near beds and furniture and emerge at night to feed while their victims sleep. They are usually found in headboards, box springs, and bed frames but will also harbor in nightstands, lamps, dressers, etc. near the bed.

2. Bites are painless because of chemicals in the saliva that numb the feeding site and prevent the blood from clotting.

3. Bed bugs are difficult to catch while eating but signs of infestation include blood stains, their dark colored e excrement, a strong musty odor, and raised itchy areas similar to mosquito bites.

4. To prevent and protect yourself against them, wash clothing that may have been in contact with bed bugs with warm water immediately, never pick up mattresses or furniture left on the curbside, and quarantine infested items. Moving them within the home can spread the problem.
