“I have gone round many ram markets just to get a ram for the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir, but I have not been able to get a good one because what they are asking for is beyond my projection. That was Mr Razak Ambali, a resident of Ibadan, expressing the frustration he had experienced in his bid to buy a ram for the ensuing Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

Ambali, who came across our reporter along Liberty Road in Ibadan on Saturday, said he had been to at least six ram markets believing that he would be able to get a reasonably big ram for N30,000, a hope that had remained forlorn.

He spoke further, “Last year, I got a reasonably big ram for N25,000. Realising that inflation could have pushed up the cost of rams, I made provision for N30,000. I had to save up the money because I did not want to experience disappointment. But now, to get the type of ram that I bought last year, I have to come up with nothing less than N60,000.
